SOCKAID
Sockaid has been specially designed to make light work of fitting socks, stockings and compression hosiery.
It was developed by two men who, after surgery, had experienced for themselves the difficulty of bending and stretching to fit footwear. After several attempts they came up with a stylish, plasticised wire frame and named it Sockaid.
Sockaid is very easy to use. Place it on a firm surface and lower the garment into it.
Then peel the garment outwards and stretch it over the top of Sockaid. Continue peeling it onto the frame until the heel of the garment is over the top of the frame. There should then be just enough room to slip the toes into the garment. Let the foot move down into Sockaid. The garment will then begin to peel onto your leg.
Full fitting details come with each Sockaid.
Sockaid is available on FP10 prescription from healthcare professionals.
