ALTIVEN® ARM SLEEVE -
CONTRA-INDICATIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not wear a compression sleeve if you suffer with:
- peripheral vascular disease.
- significant arterial disease.
- congestive cardiac failure or severe heart disease.
- diabetes - unless under medical supervision.
- have severe infection of the veins.
- current acute inflammation.
For effective treatment and comfort your Altiven compression sleeve should fit well. A healthcare professional must assess and measure your arm to supply the most appropriate size before wearing each sleeve. Large or irregularly shaped arms may indicate compression bandaging until the arm size and shape is suitable for sleeve.
If you have any concerns about the use of compression sleeves, or if your arm becomes more itchy, painful, hot, the sleeve feels tighter, or you lose sensation in your fingers, hand or arm, remove the garment immediately and consult your healthcare professional.
